I joined the Lancaster Shag in 1986. I have loved every minute in this club, the members. and the shagging. I just love to dance. From the beginning joining the club, I became a member of the board and have served in many positions. Vice president, Secretary, chairman to update the By-laws, Served as president 2 years, past president, chairman of ways and means, editor of the shag clubs newsletter, “Loafers” for 5 years. I was chairman of Jivin' June Jam twice. I served as Chairman on the Nominating Committee many times, and Membership Committee, etc.. I organized “TOOLS FOR SCHOOLS” charity for elementary schools in our area. Teaching shag lessons for many years was very rewarding and hope teaching others would preserve the dance called the SHAG DANCE. I support other clubs and encourage more LSC members to visit other sister clubs. I have made life time friends through visiting other clubs and parties. In the past, I attended many ACSC meetings representing the Lancaster Shag Club.

In 2004, I received the “SHAGGING ICON AWARD“ which has been the highlight of my Shagging Life. I feel very much honored and I am so proud of this award. I hope I will be shagging for many more years to come.
