Born August 20, 1946 in York County, she and her family moved to Lancaster when she was 2. She is married to Michael, who works as an electrician at Bowater. They have two adult children: Max and Angi, and four grandchildren: Ember, Matt, Lyndsay and Hayden. Shirley graduated from USC-Lancaster with an Associate in Arts Degree in 1992.
Shirley is a homemaker and artist. She is a member of Zion United Methodist Church, where she sings in the choir and teaches adult Sunday school. She is a volunteer for the Red Cross and teaches Adult/Child/Infant CPR, First Aid, AED and Pathogens Classes. She is also Secretary of The Lancaster County Art League, a member of The Lancaster County Council of The Arts, Vice President of The Lancaster Music Study Club, Vice President of The Lancaster Shag Club and a member of The Women of The Moose.
In addition to dancing, she loves everyone and loves helping others.
