I would like to thank all of you who came
out to support the Lancaster Shag Club’s Spaghetti Fundraiser dinner on
Sunday, March 30.
Our chef, Tom Ulrich, cooked up some
awesome homemade spaghetti sauce, and our hard-working crew of volunteers saw
to it that everyone had plenty to eat. Many of our club members, who are not
only good dancers, but great cooks, brought delicious homemade desserts to add
to your meals.
Our dinner also attracted some good
publicity. Fox 18 News came, shot video, aired the story that evening at 6
p.m., and again at 10 p.m. We were delighted to be featured as a positive
story about Lancaster County.
Thanks to your support, our club raised
over $1,100 to support dance programs and charities to benefit our community.
Watch your community calendar for future shag dance events, which you helped
make possible. We hope you will join the fun and celebrate the preservation of
our SC State Dance.
